Chevrolet Silverado K10 4x4 Squarebody Pickup Truck. This truck belonged to a local customer we've driven past for nearly 20 years, often seeing it parked in his driveway. He was a close family friend who went to school with the late Mr. Davis. Unlike our typical fully restored Squarebody builds, this one is a solid driver in its current condition. Please read the full description carefully and understand that this is not one of our high-end, six-figure restorationsâ€"rather, it's a great starter project or a reliable candidate for restoration, hunting, fishing, casual driving, or learning the Squarebody platform. The air conditioning works, although the previous owner mentioned it needs to be recharged once a year due to a slow leak. The truck sits on older all-terrain tires, which are showing signs of age and dry rot. It has recently been serviced, the flywheel was replaced, and the transmission was rebuilt several years ago. Features include power windows, power door locks, tilt steering, cruise control, a dash cover, and a seat cover. It has dual fuel tanks, both of which function, though the driver-side tank has a slow leak and is not recommended for use. The body and paint have been coated with bedliner material and previously received cosmetic rust repairs with body filler. The chassis is solid. It does puff a bit of smoke on startup but runs well, shifts smoothly, and handles properly. The 4WD system functions as it should. While not our typical showroom specimen, this truck is an excellent option for a driver, a first vehicle for a young enthusiast, or a utility truck for use around the houseâ€"just as the previous owner used it for dump runs and hunting season.
